Anupama Srivastava, the disciple of Padmashri Guru Shovana Narayan, is the Founder and Artistic Director of InSyncKathak Dance School. The focus of InSyncKathak is to use the North Indian Classical Kathak Dance form as a creative medium to promote physical, mental, social, cultural, interpersonal and spiritual enrichment for students of all ages. In the true spirit of the Guru-Shishya Parampara, students are given rigorous training in a nurturing environment in all aspects of the Lucknow Gharana style of the traditional classical Kathak dance: nritta, nritya and natya. This is a complete program that produces exceptional Kathak dancers who are strong, confident, sensitive and grounded individuals, and responsible citizens of the world.
Smt. Shraddha Joglekar the artistic director of KalaAwishkar Dance School has designed a unique relaxation & meditative technique using the knowledge of Indian classical dance & music, 'Yogic dance'. She has beautifully merged the poses and movements of Bharatnatyam and Yoga for participants to go deep into a relaxation moment and release those negative toxins. Finding stillness & balance in movements is the beauty of 'Yogic dance'!
Natyakshetram was founded by Kum. Nikitha Sreekant in August of 2018 with the blessings of her gurus and grand gurus. With iIvine grace, Natyakshetram serves as a place of learning the art form in authentic Kalakshetra Bani. Our mission is to inspire passion for the art while instilling universal values and pride in the humble traditions in our students through joy of natyam. Nikitha was blessed by the Dhananjayans to perform her arangetram (Debut solo performance of a margam, a complete repertoire) with the training from Guru Smt. Divya Shiva Sundar and under the banner of Bharatha Kalanjali, OMR Branch (now Disha Centre of Arts). She is also the co-founder of Nirmathi, a dance collaboration initiative to work with other individual artists in the Bay Area to collaborate, practice and perform together. She finds and takes every opportunity to learn from stalwarts and peers with utmost passion and dedication.
